for accountants.

The modern ledger

Working in the accounting field is tough.  There is no shortage in work, but there are very few tools available to bookkeepers, tax preparers, auditors, and payroll specialists.  Together with my fellow CPA's, we have designed a notebook with seven sections to help accountants get more done in a shorter time.

This is GREAT. I would absolutely use these page formats
— Carla, CPA
Keeping all my notes in one place is perfect
— KD, Manager
I like all the resources at the end - nice!
— Chelsie, CPA

In order to manufacture these notebooks we are using the popular crowdsourcing site,, to help raise the funds and move this project forward.  Everyone that buys a notebook will be part of the project backer community to help make this notebook great.  If you would like to be a founding member and be among the first to hear about the launch, which will be in early 2018, sign up for updates below.  We don't send out spam and never share your information.

Modern Ledger Task List

7 page layouts

Meeting Notes

Layout designed to keep everyone on task, take useful notes, and organize action items.

To do lists

Separated current tasks from future tasks with due dates, and a new 'delegated to' section.

Weekly schedule

Keep upcoming due dates organized with the unique page layouts that are undated for use anytime in the year.  Six months worth of weeks will help keep any busy season on track.

Time tracking

Field-tested layout to track projects and clients to avoid the end of the week admin task of filling in your time-sheet.

Training notes

Keeping all the training material front of mind is impossible, but a well organized notebook to keep track of the key points will help to recall it later.  Using a dot-grid layout allows for note-taking, company structure diagrams, and doodling when things get boring.

general notes

The unique grid/lined layout is perfect for writing out client meeting notes, T-chart bookkeeping notes, and 2-3 column accounting ledger.

List of useful accounting websites, Excel shortcuts for accounting data, full list of US IRS tax forms, tax calendar due dates, useful accounting formulas, benchmark industry data, and month-close checklist.  Is there anything we missed?

Avoid the stress this busy season and get organized
